First confirmed Brandt’s bat roost in Scotland

In late 2013, Direct Ecology were very excited to discover the first confirmed roost in Scotland for this species. The roost was found by our ecologists whilst undertaking building surveys for the Forestry Commission near Newton Stewart. An excellent report on the importance of this discovery has been presented in this month’s SNH “Species of the month” blog, which you can read in full here.
