When might you require the services of Direct Ecology Ltd?

 

The following are some possible scenarios:

· You have a potential development site and wish to know if there are likely to be any ecological issues

· Scottish Natural Heritage has requested that you undertake protected species survey

· You intend to demolish a building and require a bat survey

· You intend to fell some mature trees and require a pre-felling bat survey

· You have been asked to undertake protected species or bird survey as a planning condition or prior to determination of a planning application

· You require specialist ecological input into the production of an Environmental Statement for a development site

· You wish to achieve BREEAM credits in the Land Use and Ecology category

· You require an expert witness specialist in protected species in a public inquiry

· You require ecological survey as part of on going site monitoring (e.g. SNH, local wildlife groups)

· You require a habitat management plan

· In order to fulfil planning conditions you require site mitigation works to be undertaken (e.g. badger artificial sett construction, habitat creation or species translocation)

· You may have otter, bats or wildcat on your site and require a European Protected Species licence application

· You require the presence of an Ecological Clerk of Works on site.
